The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the minimum cut-off marks for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session.
At the JAMB Policy Meeting held in Abuja, the Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed the following national cut-off benchmarks:
- Universities: 150
- Polytechnics: 100
- Colleges of Education: 100
- Colleges of Nursing Sciences: 140
These are the minimum scores required to be eligible for admission consideration. However, institutions are allowed to set their own cut-off marks above these figures but not below.
Key Reminders:
- The minimum age for admission into any tertiary institution in Nigeria remains 16 years.
- With this announcement, many institutions will soon begin sales of their Post-UTME screening forms.
- Candidates are strongly advised to monitor updates from their chosen institutions to avoid missing deadlines.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the Minister of Education, Tunji Alaussa, as well as vice-chancellors, rectors, registrars, and policy makers.
