University of Port Harcourt IITD Graduate Programmes Admission for 2025–2026 Academic Session

The University of Port Harcourt is now accepting applications for various graduate programmes at the Institute of International Trade and Development (IITD) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Available Programmes

IITD offers the following graduate programmes:

• Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in International Trade and Development
• Master of Science (MSc) in International Trade and Development
• Master of Science (MSc) in Customs Administration and Border Management
• Master of Science (MSc) in Ports Management and Maritime Administration
• Master of Science (MSc) in Shipping and Maritime Security
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Trade and Development Finance

Admission Requirements

PGD in International Trade and Development:

• Good honours degree in relevant fields (Economics, Political Science, etc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with upper credit.

MSc in International Trade and Development:

• Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Honours in relevant fields.
• Candidates with trade-related industry experience may also apply.

MSc in Customs Administration and Border Management, Ports Management, and Maritime Administration:

• Good degree in Social or Management Sciences or related Arts and Humanities fields, with relevant work experience.

PhD in Trade and Development Finance:

• MSc degree in International Trade and Development or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.50.

Programme Duration

• PGD and MSc: 12 months
• PhD: Minimum of 24 months, maximum of 60 months
